Senior Account
Executive (SAE)
Senior account executives generally have
five to seven years of experience in public relations, journalism,
marketing or high technology; prior agency experience is
preferred.
Senior AEs have mastered the tactical execution of the public relations program.
In this position, they continue to develop and refine strategic skills by working
closely with account managers and agency senior staff to develop and implement
strategic PR programs. SAEs are expected to think and act more strategically
and proactively than AEs. SAEs represent the agency and its work in a professional
manner and present it clearly and confidently in client meetings as well as at
industry events. They also develop and demonstrate coaching skills through their
work with account executives, account coordinators and support staff.
Accounts at Emerge PR may be assigned an AE and/or an SAE depending upon the
needs of the particular account. Responsibilities of the AE and SAE are assigned
by the account manager or account director based on the talent and experience
of those individuals, their professional development needs and client necessity.
